Hurgada Cultural Leisure Centre
The Hurghada project is a new Cultural and Entertainment Centre that will be built on a bare sand site a few kilometres North West of Hurghada and inland from the sea.
The project brief is to create a day and night time cultural leisure attraction for family audiences that will inform visitors about the rich cultural and historical heritage of Egypt and inspire them to visit the sites and monuments existing
throughout the country.
The project concept is based around three interlocking themes:
Life line
The Nile, artery of life, the very reason for Egypt.
A thoroughfare now, as then. An icon and a link to the major historical sites.
Blood line
Genealogy as a pathway through history. People engage with people, a personal and immediate way to explore history.
Time line
History in a chronological context. The overlays from one period to another visible. Evolution, Cause and Effect.
These themes are presented in a series of multimedia events and culminate in a night time show set amongst a series of village settings and purpose built auditoria.
